Maintenance, Repair, Motor Program, Performance Upgrades - Jack, the owner of Wolfsburg Motorwerks, still drives his 1962 ragtop. With 385K miles and counting, it’s a testament to the great design and quality of the early VW and also a testament to the skill of the Wolfsburg team. Every Wolfsburg employee owns and drives a vintage VW or Porsche.

We love them and are committed to keeping these relatively rare gems on the road and running well. Come to our shop year round and you are bound to see some vintage Bugs and Buses parked around the shop in different stages of repair or restoration. Whether you own a Beetle, Bus or Type III VW we have the special tools and expertise to do everything from standard maintenance to complete transaxles and custom engine building.

Engines - We have the capability to build everything from a stock 25 or 36hp motor to powerful Type 1 and Type IV motors well over 2000cc’s. We routinely build 1776cc or 2110 motors that are driven on the street and reliable. We have even built Formula Vee motors used on open wheel cars in Vintage racing. People are often surprised at how powerful and smooth our stock motors are- all a testament to meticulous machining and assembly done by people who have proper training, experience and enthusiasm.
